Tanavast

Tanavast

Emperor of Atheria

Overview

Tanavast is the Emperor of the Atherian Empire: the supreme authority of a civilization built on law, hierarchy, military strength, and the virtues of Honor. His rule was marked by expansion, stability, and the kind of order that requires absolute confidence in its own structure.

Nine months ago, his wife was publicly assassinated in a swift elven strike on the imperial capital. He has not been the same since.

The Empire Under Grief

His military is moving without its former restraint. Border regions are being hit hard. The measured pace of imperial justice has given way to something faster and less careful. His court still functions and his commanders still follow orders — the orders are simply different now.

Riverbend sits in the path of his campaigns. The mixed communities that make up the valley are not distinctions his forces are currently making.

What He Stands For

The Atherian Empire’s culture is built around Honor’s virtues: duty, law, the protection of the innocent through strength, the integrity of one’s word. Whether Tanavast still embodies those things is a question the party will have to answer for themselves.

He has not appeared directly to the party yet. His presence is felt through his soldiers, his proclamations, and what they leave behind.
